Washington, DC – On February 27, 2026, the Social Security Advisory Board (the Board) published its Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Annual Report, summarizing its work during the past FY. The Board fulfilled the statutory requirement to meet at least four times over the FY in support of its ongoing projects. This work includes five Board reports and one letter with recommendations to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and Congress on the following topics:
- Social Security Survivors Insurance Benefits for Children
- Social Security: Improving Hiring Processes at State Disability Determination Services
- Trust Fund Buildings
- Supplemental Security Income and Incarceration
- Social Security Benefits for People Aged 62 to Full Retirement Age
