In the morning, the Board met with Art Spencer and Gina Clemons from the Office of Disability Programs (ODP) and Daniel Zabronsky from the Office of Quality Performance (OQP). The primary topic discussed during this session was Continuing Disability Reviews (CDRs). In the afternoon, the Board was joined by Glenn Sklar and Gerald Ray from SSA’s Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR). Specifically, they discussed ways in which ODAR’s Office of Appellate Operations has been using detailed data analysis to help improve the disability decision making process at the hearing and appeals council levels of adjudication at SSA.
